Braddock’s Flea Market is one of the largest flea markets in western Pennsylvania, and it’s held one weekend per month May through October, rain or shine.
Directions to Braddock’s Flea Market
Braddock’s Flea Market is held in a large field just east of Braddock’s Restaurant and Tavern along Route 40 in Farmington – use 3261 National Pike, Farmington, PA 15437 as the address in your navigation system, and follow the signs for flea market parking.
This red caboose pictured below is a good landmark for locating the flea market, as it is located right along Route 40 adjacent to the flea market entrance.
The restaurant is named after General Edward Braddock, a British officer and commander-in-chief for the Thirteen Colonies at the start of the French and Indian War.
General Braddock was mortally wounded in a battle to the west of Farmington, and is buried just a few hundred yards from both the restaurant and flea market.
Shopping at Braddock’s Flea Market
Like all flea markets, the anticipation of discovering hidden treasures amidst the hodgepodge of items from different eras is what draws shoppers to Braddock’s Flea Market.
Or as I like to say – you never know what you can’t live without until you’ve visited a flea market!
From antique furniture pieces, vintage toys, and classic vinyl records to artisan crafts and quirky collectibles, there’s something for every kind of collector or casual shopper at this flea market.
Braddock’s Flea Market is sprawling but well organized in neat rows with ample room to move about.
You’ll find a small number of vendors set up under permanent pavilions closest to the restaurant, but the majority of vendors are set up under pop-up tents in the field to the east of the restaurant.
Negotiating is all part of the fun at any flea market – be sure to bring cash as very few vendors accept checks or credit cards.
You’ll find an assortment of “fair food” delicacies as well, from hot dogs and hamburgers to kettle corn and fresh lemonade.
Braddock’s Flea Market is not just a place for commerce; it’s a social hub where friends meet and collectors bond over shared interests.
