10 Great November Events in Pennsylvania

With fall foliage season winding down and Halloween items on the clearance rack, Thanksgiving and Christmas and closing in fast!

So here are my picks for some of the best festivals, parades, and holiday light-up events happening in PA in November!

1. The Autos & Ales Craft Beer Festival | November 3

Held at the Antique Auto Club of America Museum in Hershey, this craft beer festival features live music, food, and dozens of breweries, all within the award-winning galleries of the museum.

2. Lake Erie Wine Country Harvest Weekends | November 3-5 and 10-12

3. PA Bacon Fest in Easton | November 4-5

This two-day festival serves up delicious food, live music, family-friendly activities, cooking demos, and every sort of bacon treat you can imagine!

4. Candlelight Open House at Historic Hanna’s Town | November 10

This FREE after-hours event kicks off the holiday season with candle-lit beer and wassail tastings at Hanna’s Tavern, snacks and cookies, and shopping at the Westmoreland History Education Center gift shop at Hanna’s Town.

5. Light Up Night in State College | November 16

Light Up Night in State College includes several locations enhanced with lights set to music, as well as an appearance by Santa and the lighting of the Christmas tree at the intersection of College Avenue and South Allen Street.

6. A Longwood Christmas | November 17 – January 7

The massive indoor and outdoor Christmas displays at Longwood Gardens in Chester County are world-famous, and you have nearly two months to enjoy them starting November 18th.

7. Holiday Lights on the Lake in Altoona | November 17 – January 7

8. Light Up Night in Pittsburgh | November 18

Musical entertainment, fireworks, food, shopping, and the lighting of several Christmas trees area all part of Light Up Night in Pittsburgh.

9. Dedication Day in Gettysburg | November 19

This annual event honors the anniversary of the day the Soldiers’ National Cemetery was dedicated in 1863, an event at which President Abraham Lincoln gave his famous “Gettysburg Address”.

10. Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade | November 23

The oldest Thanksgiving parade in the country features floats, marching bands, dancing groups, and more.
