Benjamin Hollow Falls is located 3 miles north of the Blackwell trail head of the Pine Creek Rail Trail.

The easiest way to reach Benjamin Hollow Falls is simply to ride your bike out the rail trail from Blackwell to the Benjamin Hollow stream crossing, and then make the 5 minute hike upstream to the falls.

One mile into your trip, you’ll pass Stone Quarry Run Falls.

Two miles into your trip, you’ll pass Water Tank Hollow Falls.

And a three miles into your trip, you’ll reach Benjamin Hollow, clearly marked by a signpost next to the rail trail bridge over the stream.

If you prefer to navigate via GPS, use coordinates 41.59599, -77.39450 to get to Benjamin Hollow Falls.

Benjamin Hollow Falls is visible from Pine Creek Rail Trail, but if you’re like me, you’ll want a closer look.

Exploring Benjamin Hollow Falls

An old railroad grade up the right hand side of Benjamin Hollow makes for a fairly straightforward hike.

The bottom section of Benjamin Hollow Falls, visible from the rail grade up the right side, is safely in the 15-20 foot tall range.

From the streambed, you can see that there is another section of the falls that winds around to the right.

The final 6-8 foot section up top is visible by continuing up the old rail grade on the right hand side of the stream.

Standing on top of Benjamin Hollow Falls and facing Pine Creek makes for a fine view as well!

If you’re looking to continue your waterfall explorations after visiting Benjamin Hollow Falls, proceed up the rail trail another mile to Pine Island Run Falls.

Otherwise, simply follow the Pine Creek Rail Trail back to Blackwell.
