I spent part of the day on October 10, 2022 looking for the best fall foliage views in Jefferson County, PA.
I started my explorations at Beartown Rocks in the Clear Creek State Forest.
Beartown Rocks features both a wonderful scenic overlook, as well as hiking trails that weave their way through a sea of enormous boulders and rock formations.
The fall foliage views of Jefferson County from the scenic overlook were some of the finest I saw all day.
The trail through the boulders revealed even more bright yellow and gold foliage.
I’d been here before, but never in October, and all I can say is WOW!
From Beartown Rocks, I made my way the few short miles to Clear Creek State Park, the drive itself being magnificent as well.
Once at Clear Creek State Park, I stopped at the small lake near the park office, the lake created by damming Clear Creek itself.
The fall foliage reflections, combined with some picture-perfect clouds, made for a terrific scene.
Everywhere I went at the park, I was treated to some exceptional Jefferson County fall foliage scenes.
If you love fall foliage and have a chance to visit Jefferson County in the next few days – do it – you’ll be so glad you did!
