I’ve visited Ohiopyle State Park countless times, but October 30, 2021 may have been the single best fall foliage day I’ve ever personally experienced there!
I started my morning at Baughman Rock Overlook, where a veil of fine mist and dense valley fog hung over Ohiopyle far below.
I made my way down into the valley and next stopped at Cucumber Falls, which may have looked as good today as I’ve ever seen it on an October day.
From Cucumber Falls I made my way to the Ferncliff Trail, stopping along the way to photograph Ohiopyle Falls.
After completing the Ferncliff Trail loop, I walked across the Low Bridge to the Falls Market for a cup of coffee, to recharge for my final hike of the day.
Recaffeinated, I headed to Meadow Run.
The fall foliage along the Meadow Run Trail was outstanding everywhere, and the Lower Cascades on Meadow Run looked particularly good.
If you’re anywhere in western PA and enjoy fall foliage, get to Ohiopyle State Park ASAP!
