If you’re looking for the best short waterfall hikes in Pennsylvania, look no further!
Here are 24 of my favorite short waterfall hikes in PA, each hike requiring 10 minutes or less.

1. Raymondskill Falls
Raymondskill Falls in Pike County, PA’s tallest waterfall, is also one of the shortest waterfall hikes in PA.
2. Shohola Falls
Shohola Falls is located less than 200 yards from a parking area on State Game Lands 180 in Pike County.
3. Buttermilk Falls at Lehigh Gorge State Park
Buttermilk Falls at Lehigh Gorge State Park is a cascading waterfall along the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail, 1/4 mile north of the Rockport Access to the park and rail trail.
4. Adams Falls
Adams Falls at Ricketts Glen State Park is the easiest waterfall to get to in a state park synonymous with waterfalls.
5. Deep Hollow Falls
Deep Hollow Falls is located a mere 250 yards from a parking area on State Game Lands 36 in Bradford County, easily one of my favorite short waterfall hikes in PA.
6. Nay Aug Falls
Nay Aug Falls in Scranton is a rarity in Pennsylvania, a waterfall located in a city park.
7. Sullivan Falls
Sullivan Falls is one of the largest “almost roadside” waterfalls in Sullivan County.
8. Mill Creek Falls
Mill Creek Falls is located 200 yards from Mill Creek Road in the Loyalsock State Forest, an is one of the steepest short waterfall hikes in PA.
9. East Branch Falls
East Branch Falls is located just 50 yards or so off of Walker Road in the Loyalsock State Forest.
10. Miners Run Falls
Miners Run in Lycoming County is home to a series of waterfalls, one of which is located just a few yards from a parking area along Rock Run Road.
11. Fall Brook Falls
Fall Brook Falls are a pair of waterfalls located a short distance from a parking area along River Road in Tioga County.
12. Table Falls
Table Falls is located less than 50 yards from Red Run Road in the Quehanna Wild Area.
13. Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is located just a few hundred yards from a parking area at Trough Creek State Park in Huntingdon County, and is one of the most popular short waterfall hikes in PA.
14. Cole Run Falls
Cole Run Falls is located a hundred yards from Cole Run Road in the Forbes State Forest.
15. Cucumber Falls
Cucumber Falls at Ohiopyle State Park is arguably the most photogenic and most photographed waterfall in western Pennsylvania, located just a few yards from a roadside parking lot.
16. Buttermilk Falls in Indiana County
Buttermilk Falls in Indiana County was the childhood playground of Fred Rogers, AKA Mister Rogers of “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood” fame.
17. Adam Falls
Adam Falls at Linn Run State Park is a picturesque 15 foot tall waterfall just a few minutes hike from a parking area along Linn Run Road.
18. Freedom Falls
Freedom Falls is located 150 yards from a parking area along Rockland Station Road in Venango County.
19. Quaker Falls
Quaker Falls is a 50 foot-tall waterfall located less than a mile from the Ohio border, north of Pittsburgh in Lawrence County.
20. Buttermilk Falls in Beaver County
Not only is Buttermilk Falls in Beaver County a very short hike, but you can stand BEHIND the falls if you like!
21. Dingmans Falls
Dingmans Falls in Pike County requires nothing more than a short stroll down a well-maintained boardwalk to reach a viewing platform at the base of the falls.
22. Silverthread Falls
Silverthread Falls is located along the same path as Dingmans Falls mentioned above – a simple 2-3 minute walk along a boardwalk that is also stroller and wheelchair-friendly.
23. Luke’s Falls
Luke’s Falls at Lehigh Gorge State Park is an easy 1/4 mile hike/bike ride south of the Rockport Access along the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail.
24. Springfield Falls
Springfield Falls is a beautiful waterfall in Mercer County, located just a few yards from a parking area on State Game Lands 284.
